Postdoctoral Scientist in Earth Sciences (Biogeochemistry)

The Earth Sciences department at Colby College invites applications for a two-year Postdoctoral Scientist position in biogeochemistry. The Postdoctoral Scientist will conduct externally funded research while contributing to undergraduate teaching and mentorship, with the goal of preparing for a future faculty position at a primarily undergraduate institution.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Earth Sciences, Environmental Sciences, or a closely related field completed by the start date
• Experience teaching and/or mentoring undergraduate students
• Prior field and laboratory research experience, preferably in a leadership role
• Demonstrated proficiency in data analysis and visualization
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize multiple competing responsibilities
