Senior Data Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our team. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will possess solid knowledge of data engineering practices and demonstrate a passion for quality and best practice. You will work closely with SMEs, testers, and end-users, keeping communication proactive and surfacing blockers early.

What You Will Do

Your responsibilities will include adopting modern cloud-based data platforms, supporting the adoption of Databricks, and delivering quality production-ready outputs. You will write well-tested, automated code and contribute actively in team discussions.

Requirements

• Strong SQL skills (data modeling, query optimisation, stored procedures)
• Design, develop and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for batch and streaming data
• Experience with at least one programming language: Python, Java, or Scala (Python preferred)
• Solid understanding of Data warehouse concepts (star schema, slowly changing dimensions)
• Knowledge of version control (Github)
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) or platforms like Snowflake, Databricks
