Job Description
The Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner is a specialty healthcare provider who provides medical and nursing services to individuals and families, emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention. The role involves diagnosing and managing acute and chronic illnesses, ordering diagnostic tests, prescribing medications, and teaching and counseling patients and families.
Requirements
- Master's degree in nursing
- Three-Five years' experience in a clinical role
- Experience in staff education and quality management preferred
- Experience working with teams as a member and leader
- Good customer relations and interpersonal skills
- Preferred computer skills include Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point
- Current licensure by the Illinois State Board of Nursing
- CPR certification per hospital requirements
