Job Description
Community Options, Inc. is a national non-profit agency providing services to individuals with disabilities in 12 states. We are in search of an experienced Maintenance Technician in Union County, NJ to repair the residences of the individuals that are supported by our organization.
Requirements
- Develop a schedule of basic maintenance tasks
- Complete required maintenance tasks in a timely manner
- Ensure repairs are made timely in a way that is safe and in compliance with the local laws and regulations
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical systems and structural components
- Perform basic maintenance tasks including painting, spackling, and basic electrical or plumbing work
- Advise management when an outside contractor may be necessary
- Review contractor estimates to ensure they accurately reflect the required repairs and reasonable job costs
- Follow OSHA guidelines for safety and the proper handling of tools
