Solution Architect

Role Overview

As a Solution Architect within Damen Naval's IT Staff Department, you will be responsible for designing IT solutions for various business and IT projects. You will work on a variety of IT projects and programs that match your skills and experience, with opportunities to broaden your knowledge and tackle new challenges.

What You Will Do

You will consult on and design new and current IT solutions, create standard reusable building blocks and low-level designs, guide project teams in making the right technological decisions, and cooperate with the Cyber Security team and security architects to make sure our technical solutions are secure and compliant.

Why It Might Be a Fit

We are looking for candidates with 10+ years' experience working on IT solutions as either an engineer or architect, excellent stakeholder management, consultancy and influencing skills, and a good command of the English language and the ability to speak and understand Dutch.

Requirements

• 10+ years' experience working on IT solutions as either an engineer or architect
• 5+ years' experience working on IT Architecture is preferred
• Solid experience in translating of requirements into (technical) tooling and solutions
• Familiarity with architecture tools and experience in modelling and standardizing architecture is a plus
• Excellent stakeholder management, consultancy and influencing skills
• Experienced dealing with compliance and risk topics are considered a plus
• Good command of the English language and the ability to speak and understand Dutch
• Excellent references
• Permanent EU citizenship and passport
