Job Description
Consumers Energy is seeking a Senior Principal Civil Engineer to lead the Dam Safety Program and provide technical leadership for complex infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering, excellent communication skills, and experience in managing multidisciplinary project teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering
- Professional Engineer License (PE)
- Minimum 10 years of experience in an advanced civil engineering role
- Understanding of civil engineering principles, practices, and tools
- Proficient with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar software
- Thorough knowledge of materials, methods, and tools involved in construction or repair of buildings, pipelines, and other related structures
- Comprehensive understanding of safety regulations relevant to assigned projects
- Ability to identify and resolve complex problems
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Capable of both creative and analytical thinking
- Detail-oriented and accurate
