Principal Software Engineer

Cotiviti is seeking an experienced Backend Developer to design and build the backend infrastructure for a centralized AI platform. The role involves developing scalable RESTful APIs, secure authentication systems, and robust backend services to power AI agentic frameworks, enabling secure AI deployment and management across the company.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of backend development experience with 5+ years building scalable Python applications and APIs.
• Experience in building large-scale distributed systems and microservices.
• Strong programming skills in Python; proficiency in Java a plus.
• Expert-level proficiency in Python and modern frameworks (FastAPI, Django REST Framework, Flask) with proven experience developing SDKs or client libraries.
• Strong experience with database technologies (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and ORM frameworks (SQLAlchemy, Django ORM) with experience with AI frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen).
• Hands-on experience with version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins), and automated testing.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Cloud platform experience (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
