Job Description
Procure TL/LTL/Parcel services to offer best in class solutions for prospective and existing customers and manage carrier relationships to optimize transportation spend.
Requirements
- Manage, develop, coordinate, and optimize carrier relationships
- Develop strategic Top to Top relationships with key carriers
- Monitor the purchased transportation spend of assigned carriers
- Lead or assist in problem resolution between accounts and carriers
- Negotiate carrier contracts and rates
- Perform "Ad-Hoc" Reporting as required
- Participate in the Crane Response to RFI and RFP for potential new 3PL customers
- Assist in helping to create a Crane carrier recruiting initiative
- Help negotiate carrier rates for new and existing business
- Handle implementation calls between carrier and Crane
- Provide weekly and monthly reports to appropriate management
- Handle carrier quarterly business reviews in assigned region
