Paint Prep/Caulk - 1st Shift

Role Overview

The Paint Prep role prepares the product for painting by washing, masking, sanding and caulking product per instructions. The position is responsible for moving the product to the paint booth. A successful candidate is a self-motivated multi-tasker that utilizes a strong work ethic to ensure all painting quality levels are met.

What You Will Do

Washes product, marks and masks off areas of product, removes and disposes of tape and masking paper, caulks cracks, moves product into the paint booth, sands or otherwise prepares surface for painting, handles paint and hazardous wastes properly, and performs necessary quality assurance measures.

Why It Might Be a Fit

Must be able to stand for extended periods, exert moderate to heavy physical effort, and lift up to 50 pounds. Must be willing to travel and physically able to access all areas of the plant and ground.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
• Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and short correspondence
• Intermediate mathematical skills
