Tax Accountant

Mauldin Vaught provides clients with accounting and consulting services. We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Tax Accountant to prepare and review tax returns, provide tax planning and advisory services, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.

Requirements

• Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns
• Conduct tax research and stay current on changes in tax law and regulations
• Assist clients with tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities
• Communicate with clients to gather financial data and provide updates on tax-related issues
• Support the audit team with tax-related documentation and analysis
• Maintain and organize client records in compliance with firm policies
• Use accounting and tax software to complete work efficiently and accurately
• Collaborate with team members to ensure deadlines are met and client needs are exceeded
• Provide mentorship and support to junior accountants and interns, if applicable
