Development Engineer

Role Overview

Join our team in Wantage, Oxfordshire, as a Development Engineer to work on the development of metal cans for beverage, food, and aerosol applications. You will be responsible for delivering new and improved products and processes, and providing technical support to Crown's global manufacturing operations.

What You Will Do

Use 3D CAD packages to produce engineering drawings, plan and conduct development work in the pilot facility, complete laboratory measurements, and write technical reports.

Why It Might Be a Fit

Ideal candidate has a degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, strong mechanical design ability, and familiarity with 3D CAD packages. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are also required.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Proven track record in mechanical manufacturing/development engineering
• Strong mechanical design ability
• Familiarity with 3D CAD packages (Solidworks an advantage)
• Practical hands-on capability with mechanical equipment
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Strong communication skills
