Plant Operator III (Wastewater or Drinking Water)

This is a full-time position for a Plant Operator III in the Wastewater or Drinking Water treatment facilities. The operator will be responsible for the operation of treatment plants, maintaining compliance with regulations, sampling and testing water and wastewater, and performing maintenance on equipment. They will also record testing results, prepare reports, and ensure a safe work environment.

Requirements

• Perform all aspects of operation, sampling, monitoring, and testing required to maintain compliance with federal, State and Local regulations.
• Assist in the performance of regular and unscheduled repairs and maintenance on plant equipment and machinery.
• Collect potable water and wastewater samples and perform laboratory analysis.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Assist in training of entry level trainees.
• Obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license, a valid State of Georgia Class III Water or Wastewater Operator License, and relevant certifications.
