Job Description
Direct Counsel represents an Am Law 100 firm seeking a Counsel-track attorney to join its Business Litigation Practice in New York. This off-track counsel role offers a reduced billable hour requirement and is ideal for attorneys seeking sophisticated litigation work without a partner-track path.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience representing companies and/or financial institutions in single-plaintiff litigation
- Experience with consumer loan litigation, including loan agreements and modifications, contracts, wrongful foreclosure, and mortgage-related disputes
- Experience appearing in New York state and federal courts
- Solid understanding of civil procedure
- Experience taking and defending depositions and drafting pleadings
- Active New York Bar license required; New Jersey, Pennsylvania, or Delaware licensure is a plus
- Excellent academic credentials and strong written and oral communication skills

- Estimated salary range for this position in New York is $235,000–$290,000 annually
