Diesel Mechanic - Field Service Technician

United Ag & Turf NE is a John Deere Dealership seeking a Field Service Technician to repair and maintain electric, diesel, and gasoline industrial equipment. The role requires strong customer service skills, ability to work independently, and a physical ability to lift and maneuver heavy equipment.

Requirements

• Reads job order and observes equipment in operation to determine malfunction
• Installs fuel injection nozzles and pumps, changes or recharges batteries, and replaces transmissions, hydraulic systems, and component parts
• Examines protective guards, loose bolts, and specified safety devices on equipment
• Fabricate special lifting or towing attachments, hydraulic systems, shields, or other devices according to blueprints or schematic drawings
• Remove, replace, and repair tires, undercarriages, and Agricultural equipment attachments
• Provide a detailed and legible description of work performed onto work orders
• Maintain and cares for the shop tools and equipment
• Maintain a clean work area and perform miscellaneous housekeeping duties associated with the job
• Ensure work is performed safely and safe work procedures are followed throughout the department
• Tests unit for conformance with operating requirements
• Help ensure that our new and used whole goods are in good working conditions
