CNC Machinist Level 4

CNC Machinist Level 4 job description. Sets up and operates CNC machines to perform machining operations. Maintains working knowledge of G & M codes, verifies proper machine operation, and reviews manufacturing drawings.

Requirements

• Comply with all safety policies and procedures
• Actively participate in continuous improvement to meet and exceed customer expectations
• Prioritize daily work to ensure customer delivery is met
• Load material including bronze, stainless steel, and plastics up to 7” diameter
• Setup CNC machine including: selecting jaws, setting work, changing tools, touching-off tools, inspecting and changing inserts, loading correct program, and adjusting tool offsets
• Maintain working knowledge of G & M codes
• Verify proper machine operation including speeds & feeds, tool wear, and surface finish
• Review manufacturing drawings and verify product specification using measuring equipment such as Calipers, Micrometers, and CMM
• Properly complete required paperwork
• Participate in daily preventative maintenance and cleaning schedule
• Ability to multi-task and run multiple machines simultaneously
