Art Handler

Doyle Auctioneers & Appraisers is seeking an experienced Art Handler to support warehouse and exhibition operations. The Art Handler will be responsible for safe handling of objects, packing, loading, and transporting furniture and artwork. The position requires a CDL license, 2+ years of experience, and excellent communication skills.

Requirements

• CDL license a plus
• 2+ years of experience in a similar role or related field
• Working knowledge of and experience with careful packing methods and safe moving practices
• Ability to work professionally and responsibly with all levels of staff and clients
• Excellent communication skills
• Proficient in verbal and written English
• Ability to safely handle delicate items and lift up to 70 pounds
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while prioritizing safety and adhering to deadlines
• Ability to multitask
• Comfortable working in private residences, gallery showrooms, warehouses and on a truck
• Driver’s license preferred, with a clean driving record and knowledge of NYC metro area
• Dependable, consistent and punctual attendance required
• Legally authorized to work in the United States
