The Network Director of Curriculum and Instruction: STEM is responsible for developing, codifying, and supporting the implementation of a rigorous, vertically aligned PreK-12th Grade Humanities curriculum. The ideal candidate has extensive knowledge of innovative best practices for Humanities teaching and learning in grades PreK-12, experience fostering adult learning through high quality professional development and coaching, and strong data utilization and strategic thinking skills.
Requirements
- Collaborates with the Managing Director of Schools and other key stakeholders to create a strategic vision for the network curriculum model;
- Designs and manages the development of a rigorous, vertically-aligned, and interdisciplinary grades PreK-12th grade ELA and Social Studies curriculum;
- Manages the selection, adaptation, and/or creation of unit plans, assessments, lesson plans, and instructional materials;
- Collaborates with the Managing Director of Curriculum and Instruction and other key stakeholders to design a multi-year process for strategic redesign, revision, and codification of the PreK-12th ELA and Social Studies curriculum and assessments;
- Manages the analysis of student data to assess the effectiveness of curricular design and implementation, makes necessary short- and long-term revisions and improvements, and creates network, school, and classroom-level action plans and resources to improve student achievement;
