Research Analyst - Mandarin Speaking

Role Overview

The Research Analyst will work closely with experienced fund managers to research and recommend Chinese equities for inclusion in portfolios. The team has a well-defined investment philosophy and rigorous approach to fundamental analysis. The successful candidate will be sponsored to undertake the CFA programme if they do not already have this qualification.

What You Will Do

The analyst will be responsible for analyzing Chinese companies, building complex financial models, and communicating investment views to fund managers. They will also conduct management interactions, research trips, and participate in strategy meetings.

Requirements

• Business-level fluency in Mandarin (reading and speaking)
• Graduate or ACA (or equivalent) with an exceptional academic record
• Strong numerical, reasoning and analytical ability
• Strong evidence of ability to interpret data and information to form an investment conclusion
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Team player
• Strong self-awareness and responsive to feedback
• Ability to plan workload independently
