Field Engineer

Role Overview

Join K-LOVE as a Field Engineer, where you'll ensure K-LOVE programming is broadcast seamlessly and at the highest quality. You'll support broadcast facilities with top-notch technical and engineering expertise, working from diverse locations and dynamic environments.

What You Will Do

Evaluate technical operations, install, maintain, and repair broadcast equipment, and analyze and fix technical faults. You'll also partner with contract engineers, communicate with staff, and perform installations or repairs at sites or company headquarters.

Why It Might Be a Fit

We're looking for a Field Engineer with a bachelor's degree in electronics, communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience. You'll need 3+ years of experience troubleshooting and repairing broadcast electronic equipment, and proficiency with standard broadcast test equipment and MS Office products.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent college or technical studies in electronics, communications, or related field(s)
• 3+ years' experience troubleshooting and repairing failures in broadcast electronic equipment
• SBE Certification highly desirable
• Thorough understanding of the components necessary in a broadcast air-chain
• Proven ability to deal with multiple, simultaneous problems in a systematic, logical manner
• Ability to read and understand electronic schematics, electrical drawings, and construction drawings
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure
• Intermediate understanding of satellite technology
• Thorough understanding of radio frequency emissions
• Ability to solder and desolder electronic components
• Knowledge of broadcast-related FCC rules and regulations
• Proficiency with standard broadcast test equipment, such as VOMs, Oscilloscopes, and Spectrum Analyzers
• Proficiency with MS Office products and other common software
