Master Thesis Loads & Control

An ambitious student with a passion for technology and engineering is needed to write a master's thesis in Loads & Control Engineering, with the possibility of developing themselves into a skilled Loads & Control Engineer. The thesis will involve modeling realistic wind fields for wind turbine loads, analyzing extreme wind conditions, and developing scalable wind models for future turbine designs.

Requirements

• Background in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, wind energy, physics, or a comparable field
• Interest in control engineering, wind turbines, and data analysis
• Experience with MATLAB/Simulink (required) and experience with aero-elastical tools (e.g. Bladed) or CFD/LES (desirable)
• Knowledge of GIT for version management and basic knowledge of Python (desirable)
• An analytical, structured work style and affinity with complex datasets
