As an Electrician I at ENGIE North America, you will perform skilled electrical work supporting the University of Iowa’s campus utility and plant systems. You will install, maintain, and repair electrical infrastructure that powers world class medical care saving lives, leading research breakthroughs, Division I athletic programs and classrooms teaching the next generation.
Requirements
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, equipment, and controls across utility and production environments at The University of Iowa.
- Perform preventive maintenance and inspections on switchgear, breakers, motors, lighting, and instrumentation.
- Support operation and repair of medium voltage systems (600V-15kV) under the guidance of High Voltage Electricians.
- Diagnose issues in motor control centers, variable frequency drives, and building automation systems.
- Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and diagrams.
- Plan work sequences, coordinate outages, and document maintenance activity.
- Participate in scheduled on-call rotations for maintenance coverage as needed.
