Senior Insurance Authorization Specialist

Role Overview

The Senior Insurance Authorization Specialist supports the Insurance Authorization Specialist I and Insurance Verification Specialists I in performing insurance authorization and verification for patients scheduled for services at Ensemble Health Partners. They work within policies and processes to meet regulatory compliance requirements and support the Department's Supervisor with daily workflow and distribution of workload.

What You Will Do

The Senior Insurance Authorization Specialist will select accurate medical records, obtain and validate demographic and insurance information, work with insurance companies and/or physician offices to complete insurance authorization requirements, and ensure active/eligible coverage. They will also assist with escalated issues, tracking system and process issues, and training and mentoring of new hires.

The ideal candidate will be inquisitive and open to innovation, with experience with authorization or revenue cycle processes for physician-administered medications, injections, infusions, or genetic testing preferred.

• High School Diploma/GED Required
• Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) required within 9 months of hire
• Experience with authorization or revenue cycle processes for physician-administered medications, injections, infusions, or genetic testing is preferred
