Wellsite Geologist position requires a Master's or Bachelor's degree in Geology or related field, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in geotechnical well site operations and formation evaluation, gained through working as a mud-logger, LWD engineer, or Wireline Engineer, and 5 years as a wellsite geologist or related position.
Requirements
- Masters Degree or Bachelors Degree in Geology, Environmental Engineering or any related field.
- Minimum of ten (10) years experience in geotechnical well site operations and formation evaluation, gained via working as a mud-logger, LWD engineer, or Wireline Engineer, and five years as a wellsite geologist or related position.
- A detailed understanding of drilling and related Geotechnical operations and procedures gained through extensive rig-site Geological experience.
- Knowledge of pore pressure predictions, logging, lithological good descriptions and record-keeping, well evaluation and design, using appropriate software.
- Ability to work under stress and with minimum supervision especially in emergencies.
- Highly skilled in all technical disciplines pertaining to a drilling, completion and workover environment.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
