Power Mechanic Level C

Estes is hiring a Power Mechanic Level C to perform repairs and preventive maintenance of diesel engines, trucks, and forklifts. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, 1+ year of experience, and a valid CDL and MVR. They will be responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting, and diagnosing equipment, as well as performing safety inspections and preparing safety documents.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or General Educational Degree (GED) or equivalent
• 1+ year of experience in trade school or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Valid CDL and acceptable MVR
• Ability to use hand tools and test equipment
• Own tools
• General repairs and PM criteria knowledge
• Specific knowledge of heavy truck repairs in a commercial environment
• Ability to keep up with changing technology and updates
• Mechanical ability and interest in engines, electronics, and precision equipment
• Strength and stamina to work with heavy equipment and in awkward positions
• Ability to lift approximately 70 lbs.
• Good problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication and listening skills
• Self-starting and organized
• Strong work ethic
• Ability to work independently or in a team setting
• Ability to work under tight time constraints in a high volume environment with multiple priorities
