The Raw Materials Sourcing Manager is responsible for the procurement of raw materials used by Evonik Business Lines in North America. The role involves developing and implementing procurement strategies, managing spend, and finding savings.
Requirements
- An undergraduate degree in Engineering or Chemistry disciplines
- 5-10 years procurement or related commercial experience
- Knowledge of the principles and practices of strategic sourcing and purchasing goods and services
- Broad functional and strong interpersonal skills combined with strong negotiating and decision-making skills
- Proficient at building and maintaining business relationships
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to effectively plan and manage multiple tasks and/or initiatives simultaneously
- Strong work ethic and high level of integrity
- Knowledge of business law, contract preparation experience accounting principles, ISO, RC initiatives
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications especially Excel and demonstrated analytical skills
