Requirements
- Act as a discipline manager in industrial electricity, instrumentation, control, and automation.
- Assume the role of project coordinator when required, with associated responsibilities.
- Issue technical recommendations in the context of different files.
- Participate in internal and external multidisciplinary coordination meetings.
- Work closely with other disciplines (mechanical, process, civil, structure, automation, etc.) to ensure consistency and quality of deliverables.
- Coordinate team work according to client requirements and involved professionals.
- Understand, define, and analyze client needs.
- Design medium voltage distribution posts (4.16 kV to 25 kV) and implement new electrical entries (medium and low voltage).
- Design new motor control centers (MCCs), modify existing MCCs, and perform electrical load calculations.
- Connect all project equipment.
- Prepare single-line diagrams and installation plans.
- Write procurement documents, such as MCCs, medium and low voltage transformers, generators, transfer switches, switchgear enclosures, and all other required documents for projects.
- Design building electrical plans (lighting, fire alarm, service entrance, HVAC, etc.) for new industrial installations.
- Design and plan the complete installation of gensets.
- Write bids, studies, and technical reports when required.
- Participate in the preparation of process and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).
- Select control components (controllers, instruments, switches, etc.).
- Design the complete network architecture of industrial control systems, including telemetry when required.
- Design control panels and conduct modernization studies of control systems.
- Coordinate the preparation of project plans and bids.
- Participate in the development of programming standards for certain projects.
- Develop control philosophy.
- Support the design team during the preparation of project documents.
- Support for project realization.
- Prepare lists of required components and material nomenclatures according to client requirements.
- Conduct site surveys and track construction necessary for project planning.
- Write visit reports and meeting minutes.
- Monitor construction and commissioning, as required.
- Participate in estimating and calculating material quantities required.
- Review project inputs to ensure compliance with plans, bids, and provided documentation.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, electrical codes, and applicable regulatory requirements.
