Manager, Network Engineering

Role Overview

Lead the design, implementation, and operation of resilient, scalable network infrastructure services that support Expedia Group’s global platforms and business-critical applications. Partner with cross-functional engineering, security, and operations teams to define network service requirements, influence technical direction, and ensure alignment with architectural standards and operational excellence goals.

What You Will Do

Design and implement network system architectures, including low-level designs, API interfaces for network services, and data models for configuration, monitoring, and telemetry. Drive the adoption and safe integration of AI/ML-enabled solutions into network monitoring, incident detection, capacity planning, and automation workflows to improve reliability and performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience in network engineering
• Experience leading network engineering initiatives or teams responsible for the design, implementation, and operation of production network services in large-scale or complex environments
• Hands-on expertise with core networking technologies and protocols (such as routing, switching, load balancing, VPN, DNS, firewalls, and network security controls)
• Proven ability to design and document network system architectures, including low-level designs, API interfaces for network services, and data models for configuration, monitoring, and telemetry
