Laboratory Animal Technician I

Role Overview

We are seeking a Laboratory Animal Technician to join our dynamic team. This position will focus on overall animal care and welfare, production and selection for customer orders, facility upkeep and recordkeeping and procedural duties.

What You Will Do

Cares for animals, follows protocol to ensure animal health and welfare, inoculation and administration of doses, collection of tissues and biological samples, maintains sanitation of animal buildings and cages.

Requirements

• Frequently bend, reach, push, pull squat and lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted
• Desire to work with and care for animals on a daily basis
• Continuous effort toward contributing to a clean and safe working environment
• Able to perform repetitive tasks efficiently
• Able to follow sterile entry procedures and maintain neat, clean and safe conditions.
• Ability to follow detailed procedures
