Assistant Team Leader - Kiln Dept.

Role Overview

The Assistant Team Leader will assist the Kiln Department Team Leader to meet production schedules, maintain quality standards, and ensure a safe work environment. The role requires leadership, motivation, and people management skills, as well as technical aptitude and knowledge.

What You Will Do

The Assistant Team Leader will perform at an entry level while directing and coordinating activities of the Kiln department, assist in resolving discrepancies and production issues, and work in a hot environment.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
• 1+ year of on the job training and or supervisory experience
• Demonstrates leadership, motivation & people management
• Strong technical aptitude and knowledge
• In depth knowledge of performance metrics
• Ability to use any equipment required in the functioning of assigned production department
• Ability to operate CMS / ERP system effectively
• Developed math skills and mechanical aptitude
• Working knowledge of statistical process control
• Ability to manage multiple production areas
• PC / Computer skills necessary to schedule operations
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and meet demanding time schedules
• Strong organizational skills, time management, scheduling and prioritization skills
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Ability to perform interviews and conduct team member annual performance evaluations
