KMBC-TV, the ABC affiliate in Kansas City, is seeking a Consumer & Investigative Reporter to join our newsroom and collaborate closely with our award-winning investigative team.
Requirements
- Develop and report original consumer-focused enterprise and investigative stories
- Generate story ideas that identify unfair practices, systemic failures, scams, fraud, pricing issues, and public accountability concerns
- Report across platforms: on-air, digital, mobile, and social, delivering content where audiences are
- Conduct informed interviews, build strong sources, and pursue stories that go beyond the surface
- Manage multiple enterprise projects while meeting daily deadlines
