Job description
The Data Governance & Metadata Engineer will be responsible for metadata engineering and automation, data governance, and cross-functional work. They will work with data engineers, platform teams, and product owners to ensure consistent governance standards in Databricks, Unity Catalog, and Purview.
The engineer will model and document data structures, metadata relationships, and end-to-end lineage across data platforms. They will configure and maintain metadata workflows, connectors, and governance assets, and build automations and integrations in Java and Python.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with metadata platforms and governance tooling, strong understanding of data modelling, metadata architectures, lineage, and catalog concepts, and proficiency in Java and Python.
