Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and student-centered Special Education Teacher to join our instructional team for the 2025–2026 school year. The ideal candidate will deliver high-quality instruction, implement and manage Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), and collaborate with general education teachers to support the academic, social, and emotional growth of all students.
Requirements
- Provide direct instruction aligned with IEP goals using evidence-based practices.
- Develop, manage, and implement IEPs in compliance with Pennsylvania and federal regulations.
- Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers to ensure accommodations and modifications are effectively applied.
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and service delivery.
- Support students in both push-in and pull-out instructional settings as needed.
- Implement and reinforce positive behavioral interventions and supports (PBIS).
- Assist in creating transition plans and ensuring compliance with post-secondary readiness requirements.
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold the dignity and rights of all students.
- Engage in ongoing professional learning related to special education compliance, instructional methods, and inclusive practices.
