PLC Programmer

Role Overview

The PLC Programmer role is primarily responsible for the design of industrial electrical systems for FPS machines. The role requires the incumbent to be capable in the automation programming process from conceptualization through testing, analysis and refinement to implementation.

What You Will Do

Develop PLC/HMI programs for various machines, set up VFDs and servo and instrument systems, provide direction to junior staff members, lead and execute small to mid-sized automation projects, originate and propose electrical engineering changes as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
• Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial automation programming
• Solid knowledge of PLC languages (Allen Bradley, RX Logix 5000, 500, Siemens) and HMIs (RS Studio)
• Knowledge or ability to create schematics, wiring, and layout drawings
• Experience with applying and troubleshooting wiring and electronics controls
• Excellent English verbal and written communication and presentation skills
• Excellent prioritization skills with minimal guidance and direction
