Job Description
As one of the oldest and largest Fraunhofer Institutes, the Fraunhofer Institute for Chemical Technology ICT has a special expertise: By combining our various core competencies in plastics technology, chemical processes, explosives technology, safety, and energy and drive systems, it achieves groundbreaking breakthroughs in applied research. We work on the development of safe and sustainable polymer-based materials - from the synthesis of new polymer structures to the characterization of plastics to modern testing methods.
Requirements
- Participation in research projects on polymeric materials
- Planning, conducting, and evaluating laboratory experiments
- Comprehensive characterization of polymers and materials (mechanically, thermally, chemically)
- Syntheses, reaction scaling, processing (e.g., compounding, 3D printing)
- Development and establishment of new testing methods for plastics
- Work with analysis and simulation software
