Classroom Teacher - Mornings

Friends of Switchpoint is a non-profit organization serving individuals, families, and veterans experiencing poverty and homelessness since 2014. The Classroom Teacher is responsible for providing safe, nurturing, high-quality care and education for children ages birth to 11 years old in our extended hour child care center.

Requirements

• Provide direct care, supervision, and active engagement for children ages birth to 11
• Independently manage the classroom and all required duties
• Maintain constant awareness of child counts, supervision zones, transitions, and classroom safety requirements
• Implement lesson plans, activities, and age-appropriate learning experiences
• Use positive guidance techniques and classroom management strategies
• Complete all classroom cleaning, sanitizing, organization, and closing/opening duties
• Communicate professionally with families
• Work collaboratively with all teaching team members
