Head Trek Guide

G Adventures is the world's largest small-group adventure travel company and we've been making epic travel memories happen on all seven continents for over 30 years. We're looking for a Head Trek Guide to lead our tours in Cusco, Peru and create unforgettable experiences for our travelers.

Requirements

• University degree or College certificate in tourism
• Valid official Carnet de Acreditados
• Minimum 4 years active in the field working either as a tour guide or a trek guide
• Delivered tours in South America and preferably with experience with Inca Trail and Lares Trek
• Able to walk up to 20KM a day, carry 4KG of emergency equipment and sustain altitudes of up to 500 meters above sea level
• Excellent people skills
• Awareness of and commitment to sustainable tourism
• Resourceful, decisive and able to take action and resolve problems as they arise
• Bilingualism and language skills (English and knowledge of the local Andean language are both mandatory)
• Knowledge of regional and local area
• First Aid/CPR Certification
• Background in basic computer and social network skills
