Senior Network Engineer

Role Overview

Join a dynamic and consistently expanding program at GDIT as a Senior Network Engineer to manage and optimize critical network infrastructure, ensuring seamless and secure connectivity to remote sites via VPN. You will be instrumental in maintaining the stability, performance, and security of our network environment, playing a key role in supporting mission operations.

What You Will Do

Implement and maintain network security policies, ensure high availability and redundancy of network infrastructure, design and configure secure VPN connections, maintain and optimize network equipment, administer and support network-related software, diagnose and resolve network issues, participate in network capacity planning, and maintain detailed network documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or the equivalent combination of education, technical experience
• Active TS/SCI security clearance
• 10+ years Network Engineering experience
• Cisco CCNA or equivalent industry-recognized networking certification
• Security+ CE or equivalent security certification
• Valid passport and willingness to travel
• Demonstrated mastery configuring/troubleshooting DMVPN, and GRE tunnels
• Proven expertise in routing/switching protocols (EIGRP, BGP, STP, IKEv2, ESP, SIP, SCCP)
• Expertise in network security policy implementation and security device configuration
• Demonstrated proficiency with HAIPE encryption devices (GDMS, ViaSat)
• Proven teamwork and collaboration skills
• Ability to work efficiently, multitask, and maintain quality in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational, prioritization, and autonomous work skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Results-driven, efficient, energetic, and highly motivated
