Role Overview

We are looking for a Sr Software Engineer to join our team at General Dynamics Mission Systems. The successful candidate will work on a high-impact program, the SLCM-N, which is a brand-new capability being developed to strengthen the United States Navy's strategic deterrence mission. The role will involve designing, developing, and testing software for a system that truly matters.

What You Will Do

Provide senior technical expertise and guidance for SLCM-N software architecture and development, contribute to architectural standards, technical roadmaps, and design decisions for networking and distributed systems, implement and optimize networking solutions for mission-critical systems, and mentor and guide teams of engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, Technology or Mathematics field
• 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience
• Agile experience preferred
• Active secret security clearance
