Mechanical Engineer (New Grad)

General Matter is seeking a Mechanical Engineer (New Grad) to design, build, test, and own mechanisms and mechanical structures enabling enrichment technology. The role requires a strong understanding of engineering fundamentals and experience in a fast-paced engineering environment.

Requirements

• Develop mechanisms and mechanical structures for enrichment and own them through the entire product lifecycle
• Support optimization of designs for cost, performance, and manufacturability
• Functionally test hardware through thermal, vibe, shock, durability, etc.
• Perform root-cause analysis on test failures and develop hardware mitigations
• Participate in design review and provide feedback to ensure design objectives are met
