Job Description
As a Senior Conveyor Engineer at General Motors, you will lead the installation and operational activities of manufacturing conveyor equipment in GM facilities, ensuring compliance with industry and GM standards. You'll play a key role in layout development to support manufacturing processes, integrate lean concepts for cost-effective designs, and collaborate on material presentation for operator assembly.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, project management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Proficient in reading, understanding, and developing conveyor layouts
- Strong analytical skills with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities for effective problem-solving
- Proficient in computer applications, interpreting engineering drawings, and adapting to new systems
