Glen Raven is seeking an Electro/Mechanical Technician - Welder/Mechanic for a full-time position. The successful candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, welding experience, and ability to work flexible hours, including weekends.
Requirements
- Safe work history & enthusiasm for safe work practices
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings
- Strong mechanical skill set including proficiency with hand tools, troubleshooting and repairing mechanical systems, performing preventive maintenance tasks, plumbing, and carpentry
- Ability to layout and install piping, equipment, and other mechanical systems based on construction drawings and specifications
- Measure and cut materials to specifications
- Determine the appropriate welding equipment and method based on requirements
- Ability to select the appropriate welding materials to join metals together
- Proficiency in various welding techniques, including TIG, MIG, and arc welding
- Proficiency in welding carbon and stainless-steel pipe
- Proficiency in soldering and brazing copper pipe
- Ability to weld components in flat, vertical, and overhead positions
- Evaluate and inspect welded surfaces, structures, and components to discover flaws
- Professional Certification (e.g., an AWS welding certificate) will be a plus
- Load, transport, and unload material, tools, equipment, and supplies using forklift
- Experienced in operating aerial lifts
