Job Description
We are seeking a Commissioning Engineer specialising in utility-scale solar PV projects to ensure all electrical systems are installed correctly, tested safely, and commissioned in accordance with project specifications, UK regulations, and DNO requirements.
Requirements
- Degree or vocational qualification in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or similar.
- Hands-on experience commissioning utility-scale solar PV or large electrical infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of HV/LV systems, electrical protection, inverter technology, and solar plant controls.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, I/O lists, functional diagrams, and protection settings.
- Comfortable working on active construction sites and performing field-based troubleshooting.
- Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate with EPCs, ICPs, OEMs, and internal stakeholders.
