Creates and modifies detail, assembly, and installation drawings and related documentation using 2D and 3D CAD tools under general guidance while exercising independent judgment in design decisions.
Requirements
- Generates complete documentation packages: detail/assembly/installation drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), material specifications, GD&T tolerances, finish requirements, and trim/fastener detail.
- Selects design solutions (materials, geometry, sequencing) and assesses trade-offs for manufacturability, cost, weight, quality, and schedule.
- Participates in design reviews and provide input on improvements, feasibility, and risk; propose design alternatives when obstacles arise.
- Manages work within project schedules and budget constraints; anticipate conflicts or delays; exercises independent judgment in prioritizing tasks.
- Maintains professional development by working closely with lead engineers, staying current with CAD tools, drawing standards, design methodologies, and industry best practices.
- Collaborates across teams and ensures compliance with regulatory, customer, and company standards throughout the engineering lifecycle.
- Maintains regular attendance including being at work, being on time to work and working full shifts.
