The Pharmacy Technician assists pharmacists in the provision of professional pharmacy services in GHC-SCW pharmacies.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Graduation from an accredited Pharmacy Technician training program
- Pharmacy experience preferred
- Knowledge of or ability to learn email, calendar, word processing and database software programs
- Ability to use or learn to use computers for order entry, inventory control, billing and record keeping
- Knowledge of basic math and algebra
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with patients and clinical staff
- Ability to work with a diverse patient population
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to pay close attention to detail and problem solve
- Ability to successfully interact with other pharmacy staff
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to provide own transportation to various locations, as required
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to reach, bend, lift, pull, push and/or carry up to 25 pounds regularly
- Ability to see near, mid and far range
- Good hand dexterity in order to handle small items such as medication packets
- Ability to use keyboard
- Ability to write legibly
