Growing Places

At Growing Places (GP), we envision a thriving, community-based food system that nourishes every member and the Earth. Our mission is to actively engage in the North Central MA regional food system and strengthen community capacity to transform that system into one that fosters collective well-being for all and nurtures economic resilience. We work with individual consumers, local farmers, institutional food buyers, community partners, and municipalities and all stakeholders in our local food system to: - connect our community to nutrition resources and promote community well-being - create an accessible, values-based food system - work in solidarity with underserved communities and partners to strengthen the regional food system through education, advocacy and empowerment - leverage North Central MA's food and farm assets to create a robust and resilient local economy - and prioritize our environment within the food system and community.
