GTC Machining is seeking a Quality Engineer to monitor and improve the quality of products and services. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to identify and prevent defects prior to production.
Requirements
- Develop sampling plans, quality standards, and process control instructions for manufacturing
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams on product development using APQP Core Tools
- Monitor internal nonconformances and customer complaints, execute containment, root cause analysis, and corrective action
- Support Quality Techs in CMM programming and inspecting parts on the CMM
- Review data packs, schedule source audits, and lead customer source audits
- Contribute to continuous quality improvements and cost reduction programs
- Serve as Internal Auditor and perform audits of quality processes
- Implement In-Line Inspection at CNC Machines and validate machine setups, FAI Inspections, and sample inspections
- Drive the cost of COPQ to 0% Scrap
- Complete first article, sample inspections, and final inspections on manufactured product to customer requirements
- Implement and manage MSA's
- Provide guidance to the Quality Team regarding time management, technical details, and proper calibrations
- Support and monitor the implementation of SPC Data
- Work closely with the Quality and Safety Manager to provide feedback and recommendations for quality team training opportunities and employee performance
