Job Description
Lead Corporate Accountant (Direct Tax) for Gunvor USA in Houston. Experience in corporate accounting and direct tax with a focus on US and Canadian income tax regulations. Lead monthly close processes, resolve technical accounting issues, and ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in corporate accounting and direct tax
- Advanced knowledge of US and Canadian federal and state/provincial income tax regulations
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with Oracle or similar ERP systems a plus
- Proven ability to conduct independent research and present findings to senior management
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines
- Collaborative team player with a willingness to mentor and support colleagues
