Caregiver works with other members of the patient care team to deliver care to specific patient populations. The employee will maintain competency for population specific groups with consideration of physical, communication, safety, nutrition, and psychosocial needs.

- Participating in patient rounding
- Reporting any signs of abuse to the nursing staff
- Recognizing, troubleshooting and initiating corrective action needed on equipment
- Maintaining neat and tidy environment
- Inventories and assures disposition of patients' belongings
- Assures proper storage of equipment
- Recognizing emergency situations and initiating plan of action
- Notifying RN/LPN of any changes seen in patient's condition
- Complying with policies and procedures of the hospital/nursing department
- Supports the philosophy of the hospital and department of nursing
- Maintaining CPR certification and practice
- Demonstrating cost effective patient care
- Participating in performance improvement activities
- Demonstrating strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to communicate using telephones, computer systems
- Answering telephone promptly and politely
- Communicating with the patients, family, and members of the healthcare team
