H2M architects + engineers is seeking a Project Engineer with experience in water resources, stormwater, and wastewater systems. The ideal candidate will have expertise in biological nutrient removal technologies, hydraulics, and civil/site design. The position is seated in the Troy, NY office.
Requirements
- Perform engineering work in various engineering fields with an emphasis on water and wastewater treatment process through design to construction.
- Lead engineering evaluations, execute design calculations, and prepare reports, plans, and specifications with support of senior level engineering staff
- Conduct construction administration and on-site resident support activities, including construction phase management activities, coordination of shop drawing reviews and RFI responses, and lead the development of construction change orders.
- Perform detailed engineering calculations and analysis.
- Lead administrative and project management related tasks for various engineering design projects, including management of subconsultants
- Manage project budgets and delivery schedules.
- Coordinate with other engineering and architecture departments.
- Conduct field investigations and inspections.
- Check performance or conformity with plans and specifications through field inspection and testing
- Supervise and mentor junior engineers and technical staff.
- Interface with clients and construction managers.
- Assist with business development, proposal writing, and budgeting.
