Production Book Designer

Production Book Designer will make corrections and minor additions to reprints of Storey's books, prepare print-ready files, and manage the archive of reprint files. They will also build frontlist print books, make suggestions and corrections to increase quality and meet standards, and coordinate file deliveries to other publishers and partners.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of work experience in multi-page document layout, with an ability to prepare electronic files for press.
• Working knowledge of Photoshop, Acrobat, and InDesign.
• Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Ability to communicate, collaborate, and problem-solve effectively with a variety of people.
• Ability to work under pressure in a constantly changing environment.
• Ability to represent Storey professionally to external parties, including custom clients, printers, and other vendors.
